Just a few exits from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, a cluster of ancient coast redwoods rises to the heavens in what feels more like the ancestral home to a tribe of Ewoks than a national park visited by millions on the outskirts of one of America’s most vibrant cities.
Easter at our house starts with (many) spicy bloody marys and brunch consisting of bagels, lox (with capers!), hard-boiled eggs, and toast points paired with delicious jams and jellies. Because Easter was so late this year, it was fortunately warm enough to set up our spread on the freshly-cleaned and newly-planted pool deck.
I’m not going to lie – I have always hated dying Easter eggs. Those pathetic kits you can buy at Target with the little tablets never really work very well and definitely don’t turn out anything like what you see on the box.
