Somebody’s Getting Married

I was sorting through photos on my phone and started reminiscing about our wedding day in 2014. I thought y’all might like to see some photos from the fun-filled day, filled with many of our favorite people on the planet. San Francisco and its GORGEOUS City Hall played incomparable backdrop for the mid-afternoon service, which was followed by a boozy trolley ride to see the sights and an evening of dinner and dancing at the private dining room of Absinthe in the Hayes Valley neighborhood. (Of course, I cried through the entire service!)

Vaccine Hunting: My New Hobby

I’ve been called a Vaccine Pimp, Vaccine Hunter, Vaccine Angel, Vaccine Pusher and even Vaccine Harriet Tubman (by a Black friend). Whatever folks call me, one of my unexpected new-found hobbies has been finding and spreading the word about vaccine availability. To date, I’ve had over 200 friends and family…and their friends and family…tell me that I’ve helped them to more easily secure appointments. Here’s my secret to success!

2020 In The Rearview

2020 – what a year you were! Despite the way it turned all of our lives upside down with a mixed bag of ups and downs, it turned out to be one of my favorite years of all time. I’ve learned so much this year about myself and those I choose to surround myself with, not to mention every possible video conferencing app ever created.

Our Christmas Haul

In what’s typically a shindig-filled month of celebration, Christmas 2020 didn’t gift us with the “presents of other’s presence.” Ours was a very small affair. Despite that – or maybe because of it! – the gifts flowed heavily this year!

Help Build Amazing Families for National Adoption Month

Did you know that the average adoption costs nearly $50,000 in one-time expenses? Could you come up with that chunk of change without destroying your finances or working three jobs? I can’t imagine anyone not being able to help a child and build a family simply because they can’t come up with that large lump sum, which is why I’m so passionate about the work that helpusadopt.org does.
