Cooking With Kerrie: White Trash Christmas Ham Ball

Cooper & his BFF Kerrie make one of her favorite holiday party staples – White Trash Ham Ball! The kids help and we sing our favorite Christmas song of all time. Tune in to see…

Kerrie’s White Trash Ham Ball

1 block cream cheese, softened to room temp
1/2 C grated cheddar cheese
1 small package Oscar Mayer BOILED ham, minced (the square cut package of lunch meat with the yellow backing and NOT the “smoked”)
3-4 green onion, diced (green and white parts)
2 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t garlic powder
1/4-1/2 t red pepper flakes
1 C finely chopped pecans

Add the cream cheese to a stand mixer fitted with the paddle blade (you can mix by hand, just use a heavy spoon to make it easier to stir the thick mixture.) Put ham in a food processor and pulse until ham is finely minced. Add to the bowl of the mixer along with the remaining ingredients, reserving the pecans on a plate for rolling the ham ball.

On medium speed, beat the ingredients until just combined. Scrape contents of bowl into a ball form and shape between your hands before rolling in the pecans. Make sure to coat the exterior in pecans, then wrap in cling wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours. It’s even better if you make it at least a day in advance.

Serve with Krispy saltine crackers…yes, you heard that right. They perfectly complement the cheese ball.
